What Does Wealth Mean To You

If you check up the definition of wealth, it basically means having a lot of valuable things, money, or other desirable things. This doesn’t entirely resonate with me as someone who helps people build prosperous lives. I understand that wealth is those things, but that strikes me as being very outdated and based on scarcity. Wealth means so much more to me!

Riches, in my opinion, are a state of being. It is a way of feeling, being, and making your existence; it originates from the within. Although it may be used to improve any aspect of your life, including your finances, relationships, house, health, etc., ultimately it is something that is rather particular to each of us and ultimately boils down to our personal beliefs.

The potential is limitless if wealth is a lived experience that we can create from inside. We are far closer to living a wealthy life than many of us may believe, and it may be anything and everything.

I want you to reflect on what wealth means to you in order to start bringing a more expansive and rich experience of wealth into your life. To do this, start visualizing and selecting the experiences you want to have in life. Allow yourself to imagine how you would like to feel, and then start taking measures to make this happen.

Here are a few questions to ask yourself when you begin to tap into this and ignite an expanded, abundant sense of prosperity in your life.

  • What does money currently mean to you?
  • What principles or emotions are you now seeking to encounter in your life? A few examples include “abundant,” “adventurous,” “bold,” “free,” “courageous,” “limitless,” “delicious,” “empowering,” “inspiring,” “loving,” “magical,” “peaceful,” “soulful,” “sparkling,” “passionate,” “powerful,” “secure,” “rich,” “warm,”
  • In what aspects of your life do you feel affluent, if wealth is an experience and a sensation that you can choose? What areas don’t you feel wealthy in? Examples include the home, relationships, health, finances, work, family, free time, and spirituality (feel free to add any that you like). Write out your current feelings in these several areas in the time you have available.
  • What kind of feelings do you want to have in each aspect of your life?
  • What single action could you do to start experiencing the feelings you want in a particular area of your life? For instance, you could take a soothing bath, spend time in nature, cook a delicious meal, or just be with yourself to tune into your body and ask it what it needs if you want to feel more nurtured and held in your relationships. You could also just be with yourself and ask your body what it needs.
